Bahar Beihaghi is a New York City based actress, born and raised in Tehran, Iran. She is a graduate from the Actors Studio Drama School, where she received her MFA in Acting and trained in the Strasberg’s Method. Her recent credits are “Mahshid” in “Reading Lolita in Tehran”, “Yelena” in “ Blue Bloods”, “Salme” in “Wish You Were Here” and "Mrs. Smith" in "The Bald Soprano".

Before moving to the US, Bahar got her BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Tehran, Iran, while simultaneously training in Le Coq at L’ECOLE POINT FIXE. Shortly after, she became a full-time member at Fanous-e-Honar-e-Pars Theater Company in Tehran. This led to her performances as “Ismene” at “Theater Festival in Dion, Greece” and “Medea” at “Anis Gras, Paris”, all of which received international attention and publicity in Greece and France.

She is proud to be one of the co-founders of “Peydah”, the first Iranian & Iranian American Theater Company in New York City. In addition to her acting experiences in Tehran and abroad, Bahar has worked as a movement, acting and dance instructor, and a Farsi-French translator for Fanous and Theater écoles in France.

Bahar enjoys singing, contemporary dance, Flamenco, Kickboxing & Boxing. She is also passionate about teaching Farsi and acting in English, Farsi and French.

She sends all of her love and gratitude to her family and friends for their perpetual encouragement and support and to people of Iran, whom she’d love to represent through her art.
